Falcons CB Damontae Kazee Calls Out Supporters and Gets in Feud With Fan on Instagram
By Karl Rasmussen
The Atlanta Falcons are set to miss the playoffs for the second straight season, and tensions seem to be running high for players.
One Falcons fan posted receipts of some rather heated messages he exchanged with safety Damontae Kazee via Instagram. The fan called Kazee "lame asf" and told him to get off the team, to which the DB responded with his address, seemingly challenging him to a fight.
Challenging a fan to make you get off the team is certainly not a good look, though some may be wondering why the fan slid into Kazee's DMs to begin with.
Well, the fan, Twitter user "Luke_bball3," explained the context of his hostile message to Kazee, providing another receipt, this one in which the cornerback took a shot at the Falcons' fan base.
The Falcons were trying to thank their supporters after a 7-9 season, to which Kazee suggested they only have 11 fans. That didn't sit well with the ATL faithful.
After seeing his messages exposed on social media, Kazee didn't really back down, as he replied to the fan's post on Twitter.
However this ends up playing out, Kazee may wish he had just ignored the fan from the start.
The safety is set to enter the final year of his rookie deal with the Falcons. Across three seasons, he's recorded 10 interceptions, forced four fumbles and logged 169 tackles across 48 games (30 starts).
