Falcons Should've Fired Dan Quinn Yesterday
By Kevin Aquino
The Atlanta Falcons have sunken to 1-4 for the 2019 NFL season and the bottom of the NFC South, and with Jay Gruden getting the boot from Washington Monday, the Falcons should be considering a similar move in regards to head coach Dan Quinn.
After a 53-32 stinker of a loss against the Texans yesterday, Quinn should be out based on defense alone. Deshaun Watson had his way with the Falcons, and teams will continue to do the same if things don't shape up in Atlanta.
The Falcons' Super Bowl loss in 2016 seems like forever ago, and it's mostly because they just haven't been able to recover since blowing a 28-3 lead to New England.
The Falcons have gone 18-19 since that fateful game, and even with longtime Falcons Julio Jones and Matt Ryan still a part of the franchise, they've disappointed year after year.
The fact of the matter is, it would be amazing if Quinn is still a head coach when Atlanta takes on the Cardinals next week. Actually, we take it back -- it's amazing that Quinn is still employed right now.
