Falcons sign Justin Simmons after trading for pass-rusher Matthew Judon

There was an NFC South battle going on between the Falcons and Saints to land Justin Simmons. After taking visits to meet with both organizations, we now know that the four-time All-Pro safety will be Atlanta-bound.
On Thursday, news broke that Simmons has indeed agreed to a new deal with the Falcons. This comes a day after the front office pulled off the blockbuster trade to acquire Matthew Judon from the New England Patriots.

Simmons was linked to several other teams this offseason, including the Dolphins and Giants. In the end, though, he decided that the Falcons will give him the best chance to keep turning heads in 2024. It's a one-year deal for the veteran safety, who will surely be looking for another payday next offseason. We'll see if it will be Atlanta or someone else who gives it to him.
