Famed Eagles Fan Monty G Reportedly in Medically-Induced Coma While Battling COVID-19
By Michael Luciano
One of the most well-known and passionate fans in all of football is fighting for his life today, as Philadelphia Eagles superfan Monty G is currently in a medically-induced coma after contracting the COVID-19 virus.
Monty G underwent a tracheotomy in order to help him breathe. Concerned fans have already set up a GoFundMe in order to help his family take care of his medical bills, and it has already reached over two-thirds of their $1,000 goal.
While he is usually among the loudest and proudest Eagles fans whenever Carson Wentz leads the team to victory, Monty G became well-known on a national scale when a video of him after a Dallas Cowboys loss several years ago, in which he held back tears and sported his trademark cap with a motorized flapping eagle on it, resurfaced and went viral.
Even the biggest Cowboys fans in the world will say a prayer for Monty G's good health tonight.
Hopefully for Monty G himself and all of Eagles Nation, he manages to pull through and recover in a relatively short amount of time. If you want to donate, you can visit the GoFundMe behind this link.
