First Cowboys Coach Speaks Out on George Floyd Protests Amid Civil Unrest
By Michael Luciano

A member of the Dallas Cowboys organization has finally spoken out about the ongoing protests in the wake of George Floyd's death, and his immediate thoughts were nothing short of poetic.
Maurice Linguist, who was the defensive backs coach at Texas A&M before taking a job with the Cowboys as their DB coach this season, offered his thoughts on the protests and acts of violence across the country, punctuating his essay with #Imtiredofhashtags in a powerful gesture.

Linguist, realizing his role as a leader of men during times of crisis is more important than how he coaches defensive backs, says a lot of positive things about his character.
Mike McCarthy has allowed his assistant coaches on the Cowboys to be more vocal and personal on social media, which is a sharp change of pace from the Jason Garrett days.
Cowboys DB coach with a message we all can relate to and the first public show of support and understanding by a Dallas coach. It was certainly not allowed under Jason Garrett https://t.co/3GXIWji0NQ

McCarthy allowing a coach like Linguist to get all of this off of his chest shows that things are a bit different around the Cowboys moving forward. Linguist himself deserves all the praise in the world for channeling his emotions into something so eloquent and moving.
