First Selectman of Greenwich Confirms Rumors and Welcomes Tom Brady and Gisele to the Town
By Jerry Trotta
On Tuesday, it appeared to be confirmed that Tom Brady and wife Gisele Bundchen packed up their things and officially made their move to a new home in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Well, fast forward roughly 24 hours later, and Greenwich's First Selectman Fred Camillo -- who is a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers aficionado, by the way -- welcomed Brady and his family to the town.
"While he does not wear the black and gold, we in town are happy and honored that one of pro football's all time greatest quarterbacks has chosen Greenwich as his new home," Camillo wrote in an email to the Greenwich Patch. "I look forward to calling him a fellow resident and wish him nothing but success in all future endeavors, except when he plays the Steelers."
This was a classy move from Camillo, and his gesture tells us that Brady and Bundchen are going to fit in just fine in Greenwich.
Patriots fans should always want their six-time Super Bowl champ to be contented in the offseason, and this move was inevitable. But, the fact that he is no longer a resident of Massachusetts -- and reportedly cleaned out his suite at Gillette Stadium -- should have them flustered.
