Florida Assistant Trolling Recruit on Twitter for Flipping to Tennessee is a Bad Look

These days in college football recruiting, it's become the norm for a prospect to commit to a program, only to change up his verbal pledge down the road.

In the case of 4-star safety Kamar Wilcoxson, that's exactly what happened. The IMG Academy product flipped from Florida to Tennessee on Monday. Well, Florida assistant John "Hova" Herron seemed to take exception with Wilcoxson's decision and ended up taking a shot at the 6-1, 190-pounder for it on Twitter. Really?

Wilcoxson had previously decommitted from Florida, only to re-commit. Now, he's once again backed off his Gators pledge in favor of the Vols. While Herron has every right to be upset the Gators lost a playmaker for the 2021 class, taking out his anger on a recruit on social media screams immature.

The fact that the post hasn't been deleted as of this writing is mind numbing. You can't imagine Dan Mullen is happy to see one of his coaches act in this kind of a fashion.

We agree with you, Mike. Losing one of your top defensive targets to an SEC rival hurts, but whining about it on Twitter shortly after is embarrassing for the Gators.
