Florida Players Going at Transfer Chris Steele is a Brutal Look for Dan Mullen

Whenever a player decides to transfer in the world of college football, it is a result of a tough situation for said player, as well as the team he was on. What it comes down to is how the parties respond to the divorce. For the Florida Gators, let's say that they could've handed the Chris Steele news better.

Steele, for those who are unaware, entered his name into the transfer portal last week, citing the denial of his request to be switched out of the dorm room where an alleged sexual assault took place by QB Jalon Jones. That still hasn't stopped Gators players from giving the DB flack on social media.

This tweet shows Steele getting beaten in coverage during spring practice, but others have also been posted. Players such as wide receivers Rick Wells and Trevon Grimes deleted previous tweets directed at Steele.

Unless there are factors unknown to fans, Dan Mullen has done a bad job at controlling his players during this offseason, and even his own actions have shown a sense of insecurity, especially as it relates to UF's feud with the Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart.

And according to SEC Network's Paul Finebaum, their offseason has been "devastating...because of Dan Mullen’s mouth," he told WJOX 94.5 FM and Saturday Down South.

It seems as if those in the Gator program love to beat their chest over their success, but blame others if things fail to go their way, and that could hurt in the long run for the team once coached by Urban Meyer.
