VIDEO: Florida State Being Named ACC Champions in Near-Empty Arena is Chilling and Bizarre

Congratulations to the Florida State Seminoles, who've won an automatic bid to an NCAA Tournament that may never happen! What was already a wild, upside down season of ACC basketball has now ended with a top-seeded FSU team being awarded the hardware without making their way through the tourney, instead nabbing a title by default.

By any metric, this has been entirely freaky. You've got select family and friends in the arena, already among a limited attendee pool, due to previous concern about gatherings of large crowds.
That being said, that mandate clearly didn't go quite far enough.

Will the Tourney proceed as expected in one week's time? It would be dangerous to assume so at this point. The MLS season has been bumped, as has the NBA, with MLB and NHL to follow. Leagues can't wait for a player to test positive before they take similarly-decisive action.
