Florida State Should've Fired Bad Football Coach Willie Taggart Yesterday

Willie Taggart is not good at his job, and has absolutely devastated a once-proud fanbase with just over one wasted year of development and false hope.

The former Oregon coach was brought in to help heal the wounds of Jimbo Fisher's untimely departure for Texas A&M, and has instead ripped off the band-aids to expose the bare bones of an operation incredibly unprepared to take on the next challenge. Their start to the 2019 season has all but assured that.

Florida State's inability to put away the likes of Louisiana-Monroe, just one week after a second half disaster against Boise State, prove he cannot make adjustments when necessary and is out-coached by (we mean no disrespect) coaching minds which ought to not compare to his. The Noles are, at their best, one of the premiere programs in the ACC. Instead, they're a laughing stock in both victory and defeat.

Heck, the Noles needed a missed extra point to beat UL Monroe.

Firing most coaches midseason would be viewed as a waste and a giant step back. For Florida State, it would reinvigorate a program which desperately needs a boost, yet again. Taggart was meant to provide exactly that. Instead, he's draining its power directly from the source.

Move on while you still can, FSU.
