Former 49ers Radio Broadcaster Who Called 'The Catch' Passes Away at 95
By Jerry Trotta

The name Don Klein may not ring a bell for many San Francisco 49ers fans, but his voice is as recognizable as they come. And it's largely due to one, iconic play.
However, it's with great sadness that we report that Klein, who spent six seasons behind the microphone for the Niners, passed away Wednesday at a retirement home in Santa Rose, Calif. He was 95.

Back in 1981, Klein called the NFC Championship Game between San Fran and the Dallas Cowboys and was promptly immortalized into 49ers history for his ELECTRIC call on the famous Dwight Clark-Joe Montana touchdown connection.
For those unfamiliar with the emblematic call, well, here you go.
