Former Alabama 5-Star DE Antonio Alfano Transfers to Colorado

A struggling Pac-12 program just landed the top player in the 2019 recruiting class, and this could completely flip the script in the conference next year.
Former Alabama 5-star defensive end Antonio Alfano, who left the program in September, has decided to transfer to Colorado, and confirmed that he will be a Buffalo on Twitter.
Alfano, who had two sacks in the Alabama Spring Game, left the team in September after he stopped attending classes and going to practice. While there were some unconfirmed rumors it was due to a personal matter, that did little to quell the fury of Nick Saban, who said Alfano "quit."
Alfano, a New Jersey native who was the top ranked player in the 2019 class, committed to Alabama over Penn State and Georgia. Colorado's head coach is Mel Tucker, who was Georgia's defensive coordinator for the last two seasons.
The Buffaloes, a long way away from the days of Kordell Stewart and Bill McCartney, are just 3-6 this season. While they will lose starting quarterback Steven Montez, star wide receiver Laviska Shenault, and fellow stud wideout Tony Brown to the NFL, the arrival of Alfano could single-handedly change the look of that defense.
The Tucker hire is already paying dividends for Colorado, as they managed to land one of the best defensive line recruits in years. Things are going to get fun in Boulder.
