Former Alabama CB Scooby Carter Arrested in Tuscaloosa for Domestic Violence

With former Alabama cornerback Scooby Carter looking to transfer to a new school, the latest news out of Tuscaloosa is only going to drive away programs that may have been interested in him.
According to local reports, the defensive back was arrested on Wednesday for third-degree domestic violence/harassment. His bond was set at $500.

Carter has twice announced his intentions for transfer out of the Alabama program, doing so first in November and then for a second time in late February after previously removing himself from the portal. He appeared in three games last campaign, posting just one tackle.
According to Matt Zenitz of AL.com, police were called to an apartment at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday in response to an argument between Carter and his girlfriend, Terren Merrit, who was also arrested on the same charges.

Coming out of the 2019 class, Carter was the No. 9-ranked cornerback in the country when he inked with the Crimson Tide. He's now hoping to find a new home, but this latest setback surely won't help him.
