Former Alabama Stars Show Support for Jalen Hurts on Twitter Ahead of Peach Bowl vs LSU
By Andy Loughmiller
The College Football Playoff will begin on Saturday with a much-anticipated matchup between No. 1 ranked LSU and No. 4 ranked Oklahoma in the Peach Bowl. Although Alabama was unable to crack the top-four in 2019, two Crimson Tide alums will be rooting for one of their former teammates to lead his team to a victory in the semifinal contest.
Former Bama stars Damien Harris and Mack Wilson will be cheering for Jalen Hurts and the Sooners to take down their alma mater's SEC rival.
Harris and Wilson shared a locker room with Hurts during the Crimson Tide's 2016 and 2017 seasons.
The member of the New England Patriots took to Twitter to share some words of encouragement with his former teammate.
Wilson, now a Cleveland Brown, also expressed who he will be supporting on Saturday via social media by posting an image of a Jalen Hurts OU hoodie that he is sporting for the game.
Although he transferred from Alabama to Oklahoma in the offseason, Hurts is still receiving love from guys who played alongside him earlier in his college career, and that speaks volumes to the character he displayed during his up-and-down tenure with the Tide.
We will have to wait and see if the Hurts and the Sooner's playoff experience is enough to upset the Tigers.
