Former Angels and Orioles Star Doug DeCinces Gets off in Insider Trading Case
By Parker White

Back in May 2017, former Baltimore Orioles and California Angels star Doug DeCinces was convicted of 13 counts after being charged in an insider trading case, and most of those counts carried a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
It appeared that DeCinces would do some hard time in prison, but he basically got away with it.

Instead of spending more than 20 years in prison, DeCinces received just eight months of home detention and has been ordered to pay a $10,000 fine for his role in this scheme.
To say the man got off easy would be a total understatement.

Speaking of Ueberroth, this is the same commissioner who headed a collusion scheme that screwed workers and players out of $300 million, which includes DeCinces.
DeCinces played 15 big league seasons starting in Baltimore where he spent nine years. He then went to the Angels where he played six seasons, but his last pit stop came in 1987 where he played just four games with the St. Louis Cardinals in September.
