Former Bengal Devon Still Celebrates 5-Year Anniversary of Daughter Leah Being Cancer Free
By Will Coleman

In 2014, the entire football world felt a strong tie and personal connection to the story of Bengals defensive end Devon Still and his daughter Leah. Devon stepped away from football after two seasons in Cincinnati when Leah was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that June, and the Bengals decided to keep Devon on the practice squad so he could pay for her treatment.
Still's jersey proceeds went straight to cancer research development, and that's when his family's situation started to go viral. The DE eventually made it back to the Bengals' active roster, but was waived ahead of the 2015 season. That, however, was something he was alright with, because a few months earlier, Leah was announced as officially cancer-free after months of treatment and various operations.
Now, it's been five years since that day, and Leah Still is still loving life.
Leah didn’t get to go to the steakhouse she wanted to to celebrate so I put on my chef hat and brought the steakhouse to her. #CancerFree #LeahStrong. pic.twitter.com/NFjsCOwYrW

Crazy to think, but Leah's officially been cancer-free for five years now! While she would have liked to celebrate out at a steakhouse this week, Leah settled for some of Devon's home cooking instead.
Devon's football career went spiraling after Leah's initial diagnosis, but he's learned that spending time with his daughter and looking after her health is what's more important to him.

So many people followed and kept tabs on Leah's progress because Devon was so active on social media throughout the hectic few months of treatment, and this feels like the ultimate closure. Leah gets to live a normal life again, and it's a bonus that her dad isn't busy with football and can spend more time with her.
