DT Michael Bennett went down during Monday's first training camp session, and the organization lost fellow DE Steven Means earlier in the offseason. Atlanta actually invited Bailey in for a visit in early June, but there just wasn't an opening for him on the roster at the time.
Bailey is coming off his best year in the NFL in 2018. Across 16 games, the Miami (FL) product recorded a career-high six sacks, forced two fumbles, recovered another four, and compiled 38 tackles -- five of which came during the AFC Championship Game against the Patriots.
Updated numbers on Allen Bailey’s with Falcons: $5.25 million per year average. 2 l-year deal for $10.5 million - $6 million this year, including $3.5 million guaranteed.

The 30-year-old pass rusher will also be reunited with Bob Sutton in Atlanta. Of course, Sutton was the defensive coordinator in KC from 2013-2018.
This might just be a match made in heaven for both parties.
