David Irving, a former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle is a talented player who can certainly keep up with NFL talent, but finds himself out of the league after being suspended in 2018.

In the aftermath of his latest suspension, Irving denounced the NFL, saying he was quitting football. After less than a year of being away from the sport, however, Irving wants back in. The former Iowa State Cyclone took to Instagram to reveal he is seeking reinstatement to the league.

After supposedly quitting football, Irving became very pro-marijuana, frequently posting on social media about his support of the substance.

Now it looks like he's ready to shift gears and try to get back on the gridiron.

Irving last featured in an NFL game in 2018 with the Cowboys. He played in two games that year, logging one sack and four tackles. Across 37 career games, the former undrafted free agent has recorded 56 tackles and 12.5 sacks.

Irving is still relatively young at 26, and doesn't have as much wear and tear on his body like other NFL players. He has shown the ability to be a solid role player, and if he can eliminate the off field issues he could potentially find his back to the pros.
