Former Cowboys TE Jason Witten Reportedly Signing With Raiders in Most Bizarre Free Agency Move Yet
By Thomas Carannante

It appears Jason Witten's return to the NFL last season wasn't just to rejoin his fellas on the Dallas Cowboys. He genuinely wanted to leave the broadcasting booth to continue playing football.
How do we know that? Because he reportedly just left the Cowboys to sign a cheap one-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. What is going on?
Jason Witten intends to sign a one-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders, ending his time with the Dallas Cowboys after 16 seasons. According to a source, Witten can make up to $4.75 million in 2020. https://t.co/l3dW52GEaw

Witten will join former Monday Night Football broadcaster, head coach Jon Gruden, for the team's inaugural season in Sin City. Assuming the status quo remains, he'll be catching balls from Derek Carr.
We know the Cowboys are strapped for cash, but there was no way they could afford to squeeze Witten onto the books with this minuscule deal? We never really thought Jerry Jones would let his legendary tight end play anywhere else ... ESPECIALLY for a troubled franchise launching operations in Las Vegas.

A veritable MNF booth in Vegas.
Witten will be 38 by the time next season begins and the two-time All-Pro and 11-time Pro Bowler will sport a new uniform after spending the last 16 years with the Cowboys.
