Former Dodgers Postseason Star Arrested After Found Sleeping Behind Building at Airport

A former outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers has resurfaced in the news cycle, but for rather unfortunate reasons.

According to the Miami Herald, Andrew Toles was arrested on June 22 on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing after being found sleeping behind the Federal Express building, located at Key West International Airport.

According to the police report by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Toles was asked to leave the premises in exchange for not being arrested, but the 28-year-old refused to comply. Toles only had a black book bag with him, and his address was listed as "the streets of Key West, Florida" on his arrest report.

Toles remains at the Stock Island Detention Center on $500 bond as of this writing, and is scheduled to appear in court on July 2.

The former Dodger has been out of Major League Baseball for well over a year, after he left the team's spring training facility for an undisclosed personal matter and was subsequently placed on the restricted list. Toles made his MLB debut with the Dodgers, and played a pivotal role in the team making it to the NLCS that year. In those 11 postseason games, Toles posted a .364 batting average and .878 OPS, along with eight hits and six runs scored.

In his three seasons with the Dodgers, Toles slashed .286/.333/.459 while hitting eight home runs and 35 RBI.

Hopefully this gets resolved and Toles gets the help he needs.
