Former Eagles and Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham Charged With Resisting Arrest
By Jerry Trotta
Dorial Green-Beckham always flashed the potential to become an elite receiver in the NFL, but the former Missouri standout has had recent run-in's with the law that have virtually ravaged any potential future he had in the league.
The 26-year-old was recently released from jail after serving 90 days for tampering with his probation that stemmed from a previous DWI arrest. And though Beckham had initial hopes of returning to the league, his latest hiccup has swiftly squandered those dreams.
Per Pro Football Talk and Harrison Keegan of the Springfield News-Leader (first report), DGB was indicted on Thursday with possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana AND allegedly resisting arrest.
I mean, seriously? The amount of times we've seen professional athletes throw away their careers because of distorted, moronic priority-setting is genuinely exasperating. If these allegations are true, you can add Green-Beckham to that list.
Green-Beckham will hope for another opportunity after his sentence, but that may be tough to come by.
Beckham could be staring down the barrel of another jail sentence. For his sake, we just hope he gets some help.
