Former Laker Smush Parker Attempting NBA Comeback as a Referee is Amazing
By Parker White

Smush Parker played five seasons in the NBA, two of which came with the Los Angeles Lakers. He was an average player, at best, and he's known more for his feud with Kobe Bryant than his play on the floor.
Even though he hasn't played in the NBA since the 2007-2008 season, that doesn't mean his basketball dream is over. No, no.
Instead of trying to play at age 38, Parker is attempting a comeback...as a referee.

Can you imagine Smush Parker becoming a referee? Man, this is why I wish Kobe was still playing, just to see him get into it with Parker because of a call on the floor.
Learning that Smush Parker is setting out to become an NBA referee has given me new life today.

In all seriousness, good luck to him. He was not drafted out of college and then ended up signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Then, before you know it, he's the starting point guard for the Lakers.
It would be pretty amazing, factoring in all of his circumstances, if he reached the NBA twice while holding two entirely different jobs.
