Former Dolphins RB Mark Walton Arrested Again After Violating Restraining Order
By Scott Rogust
Former Miami Dolphins running back Mark Walton's fall from grace continued on Thursday morning.
Walton was arrested by police in Opa-Locka, Florida for violating the restraining order placed on him by the mother of his child. According to law enforcement, the two got into a verbal altercation in the early hours of the morning. Nothing physical is understood to have taken place.
The restraining order stems from a November incident in which Walton allegedly physically assaulted the same woman, who was five weeks pregnant at the time. The arrest report states that Walton had punched the woman in the face several times before pushing her up against a wall.
Walton was charged with battery of a pregnant woman and ordered to stay away from her. He was subsequently released by the Dolphins as a result.
This latest arrest is Walton's fifth in the past 15 months. Other run-ins with the law date back with his time with the Cincinnati Bengals in early 2019. Walton had charges of marijuana possession and battery charges dropped, while charges for openly carrying a weapon, resisting an officer without violence, and reckless driving are being currently withheld in adjudication.
Walton just can't seem to stay out of trouble, and finds himself in hot water once again. If he can't pull himself together soon, he's going to run out of chances.
