Throughout Derek Jeter’s historic Yankee career, The Captain has made plenty of memorable plays while wearing the pinstripes. Whether diving in the stands for a foul ball, earning the label “Mr. November” or walking off in his last game in Yankee Stadium, Jeter knows how to make a memorable moment.

Well, they might not be memorable for the other side, though.

After cutting off a wild throw to home, Jeter somehow flipped the ball over to catcher Jorge Posada at home for an out on Jeremy Giambi. Former A’s All-Star pitcher Barry Zito believes, though, that his teammate at the time was safe.

It was a bang-bang play at the time, and who knows what happens in the rest of Game 3 if Giambi was called safe at the plate? Depending on who you talk to on opposite coasts of the country, there will probably be a difference in opinion on the great play from Jeter and Posada. But take a closer look -- Zito's just flat-out wrong.

A young Zito was always going to ride for his teammate Giambi being safe and the run scoring. Long after the great MLB playoff moment, Zito still stands by his former teammate beating out “The Flip.”
