Coach Lowe's actions saved another potential tragedy from occurring. Reports say that Lowe tackled an "adult male" who was wielding a shot gun. The perpetrator had reportedly entered a classroom when Lowe stopped him. The student was detained and there were no other suspects involved.
Lowe went to Parkrose High School as a student, playing football there before jumping to play Division I football at Oregon. He totaled 891 yards from 68 receptions over 4 seasons as a member of the Ducks, scoring 11 touchdowns throughout his career.
