It seems that football runs in the family for ex-Packers wideout Donald Driver, as his son Cristian, currently a sophomore in high school, has plans to play at the college level.
And he just got the scholarship offer he'd long been awaiting. Cristian took to Twitter to announce that he'd received an offer to play for the Wisconsin Badgers.
I am extremely grateful and blessed to receive an offer from The University of Wisconsin!!! Thanks to my Family coaches and teammates. @jimleonhard @PaulChrystWISC @CoachKhalif @CoachGilmoreUW @BadgerFootball @car20ruiz @RossRoby1 @Steven_Greek #OnWisconsin pic.twitter.com/28YPxT10Z8

Driver is currently attending high school in at Liberty Christian in Argyle, Texas, where he plays safety, suiting up on the opposite side of the field from his father during his playing days.
He's rated as a four-star recruit in the class of 2022, in which he's currently touted as the No. 56 overall prospect.
My man @CristianDriver_ has finally received a offer from his hometown. Remember this as we continue to chase our dreams: “Climb the mountain so you can see the world, not so the world can see you.” @donald_driver80 #WisconsinLove @lammi_sports pic.twitter.com/hNk0Leubh5

Driver had received offers from a number of the top programs in the nation, including fellow Big Ten programs like Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State.
The sophomore still has plenty of time before he needs to make a final decision on his recruitment, so it could be a while yet until the safety commits one way or the other. Still, it's awesome to see him receive the offer from a school so close to where his dad played his entire career.
