Former Packers Employee Who Threatened to Blow up Lambeau Field Sentenced to Jail Time
By Scott Rogust
As it turns out, there can be disgruntled former employees at any level -- even the Green Bay Packers family.
67-year-old Clayton Exferd was sentenced to 10 days in prison after threatening to "blow up [Lambeau Field] and shoot everyone in it" while drinking at a local bar back in September.
Exferd recently retired from working at Lambeau Field after 16 years, but had no known beef or discrepancy with the team.
However, he did show up to a downtown bar and make the aforementioned threat. The bartender on shift at the time told police that Exferd was "drunk but not incapacitated." Exferd told police he had no recollection of making such a threat, while maintaining he had no possession of any weapons.
At the time of his arrest, Exferd was ordered not to have any contact with members of the Packers organization or employees at Lambeau Field.
During a hearing back in January, Exferd pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Obviously, Exferd lost the case, and will now serve relatively short time in prison.
