Former Packers RB Ryan Grant Jokes About Mistaken Identity With New Packers WR Ryan Grant
By Scott Rogust

The Green Bay Packers are dealing with injuries to top wide receivers Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison, so to deal with their absences, the team signed former Oakland Raiders wideout Ryan Grant.
Once Packers fans got the notification via the team's official tweet, many were confused, thinking they were perhaps bringing back a different Ryan Grant, the former running back that featured for the Pack from 2007-2011, plus a brief return to end his career in 2012.
The receiver Grant said he's always been confused for the former Packers rusher ever since being drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2014. That's when the retired rusher poked fun, saying he's received the new Packer's paycheck.
But did he get a check sent to him, Bc iiiiiii did. Lol https://t.co/rtK6K6sVmK

That would be awkward, wouldn't it?
The Super Bowl XLV Champion continued joking about the mistaken identity. RB Grant gave WR Grant praise while also poking fun at himself, declaring that this Ryan Grant will actually get the job done.
Maybe this Ryan Grant will get it done this time around. The other guy was subpar. Even though some dude named Ryan Clark is 5th all time in rushing . This is like the Twilight Zone.

While he jokes, Grant the rusher was no slouch. In his six seasons with the Packers, he ran for 4,143 yards and 27 touchdowns on 955 carries. He never officially retired as a member of a particular team, as he had become a free agent by the time he called it quits after the 2012 season-- but he did say that he'd be open to signing a one-day contract in order for the Packers to have two guys with the same name on their team.
I bet this is the the first time in the NFL to have two guys with the same name on the same team. Maybe I’ll officially retire now and get a one day contract just so we can be on the squad the same time.

That would definitely be something. Come on, Packers! Let's make this happen.
