Former NFL player Kevin Faulk had spent four years practicing his trade as a running back for the LSU Tigers before playing 13 seasons for the New England Patriots. He won three Super Bowls and was enshrined as a member of the Patriots' Hall of Fame due to his prowess on the field. It's safe to assume that Faulk knows what he is talking about when giving advice to running backs.

The LSU Tigers agreed with this sentiment, promoting Faulk on Monday from director of player development (his position of two years) to the position of running backs coach.

The LSU alum is a legend in Baton Rouge, as he still holds the record for most rushing yards and touchdowns in Tigers history, and the most touchdowns in one game in school history as well. He played four years with the school and was better every year.

Faulk (along with two other teammates) were on the cover the The Sporting News' college football edition because of how good he was.

Faulk has been a great addition to the LSU staff, and with this promotion he should continue to make a significant impact on Coach O's offense.
