Former Redskin Junior Galette Claims Washington is Cleaning House From Top to Bottom This Offseason
By Jerry Trotta
Could the undying prayers of football fans in the nation's capital finally be answered this offseason?
The Washington Redskins are, plain and simple, one of the worst run organizations in the NFL, and that reality is largely the product of the ineptitude of owner Dan Snyder and president Bruce Allen.
Well, change could be coming in a major way following this season, as former Redskins defensive end Junior Galette claims to have spoken with a league insider who insisted that Washington will soon undergo sweeping changes, from top to bottom.
Redskins fans know better than to get their hopes up, and the fact that we don't know who Galette's sources are will only confirm their pessimism, but we can't ignore the potential significance of the Temple product's claims.
To say that Snyder has overstayed his welcome in DC would be an understatement considering he bought the franchise back in 1999 (!) and has logged a deplorable 142-190-1 record during that span.
Allen's 45-80 mark since being appointed the franchise's Executive VP and general manager back in 2010 isn't much better.
Sure, Washington's roster needs an overhaul, but they certainly have some promising young pieces to build around. They will, however, achieve nothing significant if Snyder and Allen are running the organization.
For the sake of Redskins fans, we hope that Galette's claims end up coming to fruition.
