The Green Bay Packers have announced that time is running out on the Aaron Rodgers era in Green Bay, as they traded up in the 2020 NFL Draft so select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the first round.

On Fox Sports Radio, NFL analyst Bucky Brooks said in response that if the money works out, Rodgers would be best served going to... wait for it... the Chicago Bears (!) in a move reminiscent of Brett Favre going to the Minnesota Vikings.

"You know who needs a quarterback? The Bears," Brooks said. "Rodgers can go play for the Bears next year. They’re not going to sign Mitch Trubisky to a fifth-year option, Nick Foles will play this year, and then Aaron Rodgers can do the Brett Favre thing. How great would that be if Rodgers ended up with the Bears and faced Jordan Love twice a year just like Favre did?"

His co-host added that Rodgers would be petty enough to do that, noting that his girlfriend, NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, grew up a fan of the Bears.

Rodgers has every right to be mad at the Packers, which could lead to doing something drastic and skipping town altogether.

GM Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur willingly accelerated the end of the Rodgers era in Green Bay, and their infatuation with Love might just force Rodgers to cross the most hated divide in all of football and suit up with the Bears.
