FOX Pretty Much Guaranteed Greg Olsen an Analyst Job if He Retires
By Alex Coffman

Veteran Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen inevitably spoke with members of the media at the end of the 2019 NFL regular season about his plans in the future, and it may be that come 2020, he'll be one of them.
Olsen is considering calling it a career, and he may have a new challenge to look forward to now that FOX is open to offering him a job in the broadcasting booth, per sports media insider Richard Deitsch.
Fox Sports execs have made it clear:

If Greg Olsen is interested in becoming a broadcaster next year, they will absolutely offer him an analyst job.
Funny enough, Olsen's done the job before, calling the Week 7 New York Giants-Arizona Cardinals game when the Panthers were on a bye. The 34-year-old showed flashes of Tony Romo in the booth, catching play calls early and displaying great understanding and anticipation of what took place on the field.
I agree. Fox execs said he came to work and learn and took prep seriously.

Over-performing management's expectations always = sports broadcasting success. Always.
Although not a foregone conclusion, Olsen retiring seems like the right time now that the Ron Rivera regime is over in Charlotte and a potential rebuilding period begins under new hire Matt Rhule.
We still await Olsen's official decision, but one thing is for sure -- Carolina fans will be thankful for what he's accomplished over the course of his fine career no matter what he opts to do.
