Freddie Freeman Boldly Predicts Ronald Acuña Jr. Will Win 2020 NL MVP
By Karl Rasmussen
Ronald Acuña Jr. enjoyed himself a tremendous 2019 season in Atlanta, and there's nothing to suggest the 22-year-old can't follow it up with another stellar showing in 2020.
Well, teammate Freddie Freeman has high hopes for Acuña in Year 3, boldly exclaiming that the star outfielder will be crowned NL MVP in 2020.
Acuña slashed .280/.365/.518 with 41 homers and 37 steals, narrowly missing out on joining the coveted 40-40 club. He's looking to not only achieve that feat this year, but even more.
The Venezuelan's rise to stardom has been rapid, and the sky is the limit for his potential considering how quickly he's developed. Freeman notices that, and holds Acuña in high regard, with lofty expectations for the upcoming campaign.
While Acuña is clearly one of the best young talents in baseball, he'll be up against the likes of Cody Bellinger and Christian Yelich once again when it comes to winning the NL MVP.
