The Cleveland Browns, already eliminated from the playoffs, have one more consolation game against the Cincinnati Bengals left on the docket in 2019. This game might end up determining the fate of head coach Freddie Kitchens.

The first-year head man, who has often looked out of his depth as it pertains to the minute details of being a head coach and play caller, could be fired if the Browns lose to the 1-14 Bengals in the season finale, although Cleveland is still currently undecided.

Maybe a nice eight-game stint as an offensive coordinator isn't proof enough that he should get a head coaching job.

Kitchens has led the Browns to a 6-9 record so far in 2019, which should come as a massive disappointment considering the stockpile of talent, especially on offense, this team has. His Browns lead the league in penalties, quarterback Baker Mayfield has regressed, and star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has reportedly requested a trade after just one season in Cleveland.

The Browns are the Browns, so they'll probably beat the Bengals and see that as a sign that the team hasn't quit on Kitchens, but any rational person would kick Kitchens out of town after his horrid 2019 season.
