Freddie Kitchens' Latest Dumb Quote Proves He's Not Fit to Be a Head Coach
By Michael Luciano

A nice eight-game stretch does not an NFL head coach make. The Cleveland Browns are getting a crash course in that very idea in real time, thanks to their decision to hire Freddie Kitchens on the heels of a few joyous weeks.
Despite an offense consisting of Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., and Nick Chubb, the Browns are just 2-6, and have resorted to losing to Broncos third-string quarterback Brandon Allen. Kitchens' latest comments make it sound like he has totally lost the plot with regards to how he is handling his struggling quarterback.

Yeah, that's a great idea. NEVER look at stats.
Those stats that Kitchens is willfully turning a blind eye too show that Mayfield has more interceptions (12) than touchdown passes (seven). Yes, he's playing with a college offensive line, but Mayfield is starting to regress and miss open receivers, which he rarely did last year and during his time at Oklahoma.
And when the plays take longer to develop, Mayfield gets more and more lost in the weeds.
Odell Beckham was open on that 4th-and-4, but Baker Mayfield didn't throw his way.

Per CBS sideline report, Odell said after this, "I can't get the ball to save my life."#Browns | #CLEvsDEN pic.twitter.com/IelygRRjOI
That's on Kitchens, as a head coach, as an offensive specialist, as a former quarterback himself, and as a play caller.
Kitchens better start looking at the stats, because the most important stat shows that his team is 2-6, and he is running out of chances to correct those numbers.
