Freddie Kitchens and the Cleveland Browns came into the year with Super Bowl aspirations, but stand at a disappointing 6-7 despite a boatload of talent on offense.

While many were speculating that Kitchens would get booted out of town after just one season, Browns ownership will support Kitchens and retain him for next season barring a major collapse at the end of the year, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

While the former running backs coach, who was promoted after an impressive eight-game stint as offensive coordinator following Hue Jackson's firing, has made a league-leading rusher out of Nick Chubb, quarterback Baker Mayfield has regressed despite Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry on the outside.

Beckham is in the middle of the worst season of his career, while the Browns lead the league in penalties by a wide margin, which is a direct result of poor coaching.

His first year at the controls in Cleveland has been extremely disappointing, but overly optimistic Browns fans are hoping that he learns from his mistakes in the first go-around and can push this team towards the playoffs next year.

However, Browns fans know bad coaches when they see one, and Kitchens hasn't done much to convince them he knows what he is doing.
