Freddie Mitchell is Still Taking BS Shots at the Eagles
By Chris Russo
Former Eagles wideout Freddie Mitchell was a less-than beloved figure in Philly during his playing days with the team. While he was clearly talented, his constant chirping landed him in some undesirable situations.
Mitchell famously trash-talked the Patriots' secondary ahead of Super Bowl XXXIX, and then was shut down by the group. The following offseason he held out from training camp, to which Andy Reid responded by releasing him.
Now, Mitchell has taken to Twitter to sound off, bashing the organization and his tenure with the team.
The former birds receiver called his draft day the "worst day of my life". The Eagles picked Mitchell 25th overall, while future Hall of Fame receiver Reggie Wayne went to the Indianapolis Colts five picks later. Mitchell said that he wished he had ended up in Indy to play with Peyton Manning.
In fact, even fans were roasting the former wideout on social media after his latest comments.
This is not the first time Mitchell has called out the Eagles since the team released him in 2005. Mitchell and former quarterback Donovan McNabb have had a rampant beef for a long time, particularly after their respective careers ended.
The Eagles finally have their coveted Super Bowl, but the nuisance that is Freddie Mitchell will never cease to take shots at his former employer.
