Full List of Eagles Players Who Suffered Season-Ending Injuries in 2019 is Absurd
By Jerry Trotta

We're not entirely sure what the Philadelphia Eagles did to antagonize the football Gods, but the injuries they've endured this season suggests that it must have been unforgivable.
That narrative continued into the team's NFC-East clinching win over the New York Giants in Week 17, as star offensive guard Brandon Brooks and emerging rookie tailback Miles Sanders went down. To literally add insult to injury, Brooks was declared out for the postseason.
Now that the regular season has concluded, the full list of Eagles that have suffered season-ending injuries has been released, and boy, is it preposterous.
The #Eagles have now lost Brandon Brooks, Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Darren Sproles, Corey Clement, Malik Jackson, Ronald Darby, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Hassan Ridgeway, Rudy Ford, Jordan Mailata and, most importantly, Joe Ostman, to season-ending injuries this year.

That shouldn't be possible. Out of that bunch (12 in total) you could argue that five of those players -- Brooks, Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Malik Jackson, and Ronald Darby, were expected to have significant roles in 2019.
And the others were absolutely penciled in as important rotational pieces heading into the season.
That's not even accounting for the players -- Nelson Agholor, Lane Johnson, Jordan Howard, and Zach Ertz, among others -- that have missed one or more games.
Eagles injury updates from Doug Pederson

Brandon Brooks — Separated right shoulder. Will miss remainder of 2019 season.
Miles Sanders — Day-to-day with the ankle. “Should be okay.”
Avonte Maddox — Same thing as Sanders.
Daeshon Hall — ACL tear, done for the year.
To think that this team was able to win the NFC East, albeit with a 9-7 record, is astonishing, and Doug Pederson deserves significant acclaim for the job he's done this season.
