Funniest Signs From the Raptors' Championship Parade in Toronto

The Toronto Raptors are NBA Champions for the first time. Of course, with that honor comes a parade, and with any parade comes some hilarious signs. Monday's festivities in The Six were no exception.

Here are some of our favorites from Toronto.

Nothing like looking back at your roots and seeing how far you've come. Drafting Andrea Bargnani No. 1 overall over LaMarcus Aldridge marked a low for the Raptors' franchise. Those days are long gone, however.

In Toronto, parodying Drake lyrics is really the only proper way to make a parade sign.

Let's be honest, while we may be resentful, everyone outside of Boston is jealous of the sign kid. This sign hilariously makes light of the struggle for most fans in less successful sports cities. Between this and the Blues, it's nice to see some different cities get parades once in a while.

I'd venture to say that Kawhi Leonard may not be as charismatic as Jesus, but in Toronto, he may be just as influential. After all, Jesus never won a Finals MVP. The city of Toronto may always view Leonard as the man who saved their franchise, even if he's LA-bound in a month.

That wasn't the only sign with a religious theme, though.

Same principle, different execution. The main theme here is that Kawhi Leonard sacrificed himself to save the city of Toronto. After 26 long years (as a Mets/Jets/Knicks fan, I would argue that's nothing) since Joe Carter walked off in the World Series for the Blue Jays, the Klaw has become Toronto's new Messiah.

And, of course, he got his parade.

The Raptors and their fans look like they're having a blast on Monday, and they deserve it. Toronto has one of the most loyal fanbases in the NBA, and it's good to see some new blood winning a ring.
