MLB has unleashed some serious punishment on the Houston Astros after an intense, months-long investigation revealed widespread wrongdoing throughout the organization with respect to stealing opposing teams' signs. When the dust had settled, general manager Jeff Luhnow and manager AJ Hinch were both unemployed.
While the Astros will not be forced to vacate their 2017 World Series title, there will always be an asterisk next to that accolade from this point forward. For social media purposes, this was exactly what Twitter needed on an otherwise boring Monday hours before the CFP National Championship game between Clemson and LSU. Thank you, Houston.
