Gabe Kapler Claims He Won't Go Off on Phillies Players With NSFW Quote

It's no secret that the Philadelphia Phillies are falling fast in the NL East, as they are just two games above .500 and 9.5 games behind the Atlanta Braves. However, it wasn't that long ago when they had a three-game lead and looked like real contenders.

If Philadelphia continues to fade and misses the postseason yet again, manager Gabe Kapler could be out of a job. Knowing that reality, you would expect more of a spark out of him. That's not happening, and I wouldn't expect a change based on his latest angered statements.

Maybe Kapler isn't throwing chairs and knocking over the spread after a tough loss, but it's hard to believe he isn't talking to players and getting his point across.

Now, maybe Kapler needs to be more public in his anger towards his players to further get his point across, but kudos to him for being himself and authentic.

It might lead to another second half meltdown and maybe the loss of his job, but at least Kapler isn't going be someone he's not and start popping off on players for playing poorly.
