Gardner Minshew traded to the Eagles

The Gardner Minshew era with the Jacksonville Jaguars has officially come to a close. On Saturday morning, news broke that the former Washington State standout has officially been traded to the Eagles.
This comes after Trevor Lawrence was named the starter by Urban Meyer earlier in the week. Now, Minshew will look to take advantage of a fresh start in the NFC East.
Trade: Jaguars are sending QB Gardner Minshew II to the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional 2022 sixth-round pick, per sources. The 6th-round pick could go to a 5th if Minshew plays in 50 percent of the plays in three games this season.

The trade shouldn't come as a massive surprise. Minshew clearly didn't fit with the long-term plans for the Eagles. He won't start for Philly, as Jalen Hurts will, but he'll look to be ready whenever his number is called.
