Garth Brooks Fans Mistake Barry Sanders Jersey for Bernie Sanders Political Shoutout on Facebook

Do you feel the Bern? Garth Brooks fans, otherwise known as the 'stick to sports' demographic, surely do not.
Garth recently held a concert in Michigan, and rocked a Barry Sanders jersey to pay homage to an all-time great. For those unfamiliar, Barry was No. 20, and while the Lions' alternate gray jersey is fresh as hell, it doesn't bode well for an artist trying to avoid making a political statement. Brooks' fans weren't pleased when photos surfaced of their favorite artist (in what they perceived) giving a shoutout to the lone democratic socialist in the 2020 Presidential race.

We all know Barry would win Michigan if he were on the ballot this time around. The political environment has become just polarized enough for a former athlete to sweep the delegates.
Are we sure Barry would be a democrat, though? He was arguably the quietest, least outspoken player of his generation, despite the bold decision to retire at 30.
