Gary Sanchez May Miss Wednesday's Game After Getting Drilled by Bat in Elbow
By Jared Kish

The Yankees have been hit with the injury bug way too often this season and though it appears Gary Sanchez may not miss a long period of time, he may miss Wednesday's game against Toronto.
The Yankees catcher was drilled in the elbow last night on a back swing from Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Sanchez immediately showed he was in pain.
I spoke to Sánchez about getting hit in the elbow post game (elbow was red from icing and treatment.) Told me it hurt a lot because Gurriel's bat follow-through hit him square on the bone, but also said he thought he'd be okay to play today, though nothing had been determined. https://t.co/QDF8IYBGZc

Sanchez was not removed from last night's game after getting drilled, but his status for tonight's game is a bit unknown. El Gary said he would be good to go for today if he was penciled in the Yankees lineup.
After Sanchez got into the dugout the following half inning, Yankees trainer Steve Donohue put a protective sleeve around Gary's elbow to prevent any serious injury that may occur.

Sanchez not being removed from last night's game is a good sign for Yankees fans. Sanchez has been one of the Yankees best hitters all season and after having one stint on the IL already, New York can't afford to lose him again.
Will he end up playing on Wednesday night? We'll find out soon.
