Geno Smith and Seahawks agree to massive 3-year deal
He's not going anywhere. With the deadline to place the franchise tag on players set for Tuesday, the Seattle Seahawks wanted to make sure to take care of quarterback Geno Smith. Well, they did that and more on Monday night.
That's because they gave Smith, the Comeback Player of the Year, a new three-year deal worth $105 million. This is just great to see for Smith, who has overcome so much adversity in his career.
First, news broke that Derek Carr signed with the Saints, and then Seattle gave Smith his huge payday. With two first-round picks in the NFL Draft on the way too, things sure are looking good for the Seahawks.
