George Hill Returning to Bucks on Reported 3-Year Deal
By Michael Luciano
George Hill didn't have to wait long to find his next team. He isn't going to have to move very far, either.
Just days after releasing the veteran, the Bucks re-signed the 33-year-old Hill to a three-year deal worth $29 million, per Shams Charania.
This comes on the same day that the Bucks backed up the Brinks truck for Khris Middleton but were forced to send promising young guard Malcolm Brogdon to the Indiana Pacers for a trio of draft picks as part of a sign-and-trade.
The 33-year-old Hill can still make some plays, but after averaging 7.6 points in 20 minutes per game on 43% shooting in 2018-19, his best years are behind him. Even with all this money being thrown around, the Bucks are still a young team that could benefit from Hill's presence.
Eric Bledsoe as the first choice and Hill as the backup sounds like a more than solid option for a team that won 60 games to lead the league last season.
This isn't the move that will turn the Bucks into Eastern Conference favorites by itself, but it's one of those sneaky moves that would-be champions make to fortify their bench and add another experienced voice in the room.
