Auburn wide receiver and US Olympian Anthony Schwartz might have some competition for the title of "fastest man in college football" after Arian Smith's commitment.

Smith, who moonlights as a 4-star wide receiver in between his stints as a record-breaking sprinter, committed to Kirby Smart and Georgia.

Smith teamed with fellow Georgia Bulldog Matthew Boling in the USA's U20 4x100 team. Smith and Boling are world record holders in the 4x100 for their age group.

Smith was leaning towards Georgia for some time, but Alabama and Florida were lurking in the background. Ultimately, Smith followed through with his Georgia interest and will head down to Athens.

It goes without saying that Smith's pure speed could have a transformative effect on Georgia's passing game and return game, as he could be a dynamic stretching the field in the same way that former Bulldog and current Kansas City Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman was on the great Georgia teams of yesteryear.

Smith can expect to see plenty of zone coverage over the top, as his speed could be game-changing for the Bulldogs.
