Georgia Fans Don't Appreciate Jake Fromm Nearly Enough
By Scott Rogust
Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm has a huge decision to make in the coming days. With his junior season reaching its conclusion, Fromm has to choose whether he will enter the NFL Draft pool, or return to Athens for his senior season.
Of course, there are conflicting reasons on why Fromm should choose one side and not the other. If you ask Bulldogs fans their opinion, some cannot wait for Fromm to leave.
The public perception of Fromm has taken quite a dip in the past year or so. Head coach Kirby Smart hand-selected Fromm, causing Jacob Eason to transfer to Washington and Justin Fields to bounce to the Ohio State Buckeyes, where he was named a Heisman finalist in his first season.
That's why the name Jake Fromm leaves such a bad taste in their mouths. Yes, he doesn't have the greatest arm or accuracy in the world, but just look at what he's accomplished in his first three seasons at Georgia.
As a freshman starter, Fromm led the Bulldogs all the way to the CFP National Championship Game, their first appearance since 1980. How about the back-to-back-to-back SEC Championship Game appearances?
But don't tell some Bulldogs fans that. They can't wait to show him the door.
And, they're not afraid to tell Fromm how they truly feel.
While the entire Bulldogs offense took a hit in the final stretch of this past season with Fromm at the helm, some fans are obviously dealing with a case of recency bias.
If Fromm were to succeed in the NFL, those very same Bulldogs fans will be kicking themselves for making such comments.
