Georgia Fans Should Hate Georgia Tech Now More Than Ever
By Jerry Trotta
With a date against No. 2 LSU in the SEC Championship Game slated for next weekend, No. 4 Georgia can't afford to look past their rivalry week matchup versus Georgia Tech on Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets might be just 3-8 in 2019, but they'll have the backing of what is sure to be a rambunctious crowd at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Not to mention they are fresh off playing spoiler to NC State last weekend, dropping them to 4-7 and therefore, ineligible for a bowl game.
What does this tell us? That Bulldogs buffs should hate their in-state rivals now more than ever, especially with their program at a crossroads.
Why not, right?
All that Georgia Tech truly has to be excited about heading into this fixture is the fact they will be donning gold jerseys with white pants for Saturday's showdown against the Dawgs.
That tells us all we need to know about how the Yellow Jackets feel about Georgia, and Kirby Smart's side should respond by thumping them in their own house to make it three straight dubs in the "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate," rivalry.
