Rodrigo Blankenship's Tweet After Signing With Colts Proves He's Still Got the Perfect Mentality

Rodrigo Blankenship became college football's most popular kicker during his time at Georgia. From his protective eyewear to his reliability on the field, fans fell in love with him. Blankenship finished his 440-point career at Georgia as the school's all-time leading scorer. He also ranks second all time in SEC history in points scored.
Despite his popularity and talent, he never let it get to his head. This is especially evident by his tweet in response to getting signed by the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.

Blankenship has long embraced his eyewear and his mentality that everything is earned, not given. With Chase McLaughlin being the only other kicker on the roster, a kicking battle looks like it's on the horizon. Blankenship will most certainly be ready.

Blankenship joins a new-look Colts squad featuring Philip RIvers at quarterback and a new running back in Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin. It remains to be seen whether Blankenship will make the final roster in Indianapolis, but with his mentality and desire, he will find himself a spot in the NFL much sooner rather than later.
